A friend of mine told me how he tries to take at least one photo per day so he can a) learn and b) stay sharp with his skills. Plus I just wanted a place to put interesting photos or just photos I like for one reason or the other. This first photo was taken March 15, 2008 on some property we own which I discovered was on fire. It was a small brushfire started from a debris pile left alone to burn. You can see the pines are all bent due to the high winds. Believe it or not I put the fire out with my boots, the only thing I had, then I went and got help. Eventually we got it all under control.
